GRACE NOTES HOME SCHOOL CHOIR: Led by Bonnie Randel
At Grace Notes Piano Studio, we often remind ourselves and our students that “music is meant to be shared” – and one of our favorite ways to share music with one another is through song!
If you have a young singer ages 10-18 who is interested in exploring the fun and inspiration of creating music in community, then please do point them in our direction – the Grace Notes Home School Choir.
We meet on a weekly basis to focus on sight-singing, rhythm work, breath control, blend, and a wide range of repertoire.
GRACE NOTES PIANO STUDIO: Led by Bonnie Randel
We’re scheduling consultations with young pianists and their parents for 2018-2019!
These private sessions are completely free of charge and commitment, and are simply a time for prospective students and their parents to get to know us, our approach and philosophy, and for us to get to know the student, their past experience, and future musical goals.
If you or someone you know is looking for comprehensive piano instruction that values music literacy, proper technique, performance etiquette, music history, and nurturing a life-long skill and love of music, simply give us a call at 337-377-6381 or message us on Facebook!
INFORMATION ABOUT BONNIE RANDEL
Bonnie Randel homeschooled all six of her children from 1st through 12th grades. Her pre-college education was in the public school system, and she enjoyed the privilege and opportunity to be involved in various choral and band organizations. Recalling not only those fond memories, but also the valuable educational experiences gained through those music classes, she founded a choir two years ago. It is her hope that the program will grow, allowing families who are enjoying the freedom to home school to no longer have their children miss out on the experience of participating in a choral setting, learning to read music or further and apply their previously learned music literacy skills and simply enjoy the work, fun, discipline and camaraderie of collaborating with others to produce beautiful music!

Michelle Clark and Barbara Dixon
I’m Sam Salo, and I’m a tutor who grew up homeschooled. I now run an online tutoring studio that specializes in homeschool tutoring and mentoring. I’ve said hello in the past, and I wanted to contact you again and put forth my services to you and anyone else you might know that might take an interest. I invite conversation at the very least.
My name is Sam Salo, and I run an online tutoring studio. I specialize in CLEP and college credit tests, video game design, and other subjects such as math and English. I also teach English as a Second Language.
I offer tutoring to both help and augment a student’s current classwork, and I also offer tutoring that can serve as a student’s class in a particular subject. I am quite flexible in how I can approach a student’s situation. I invite prospective students and parents to dialogue with me and start conversations.
-CLEPs and college credit tests; topics include achieving a degree through testing, taking individual tests, the taking of tests (the art and “science” of how to approach them), and more
-Core junior high and high school subjects, including mathematics, biology, chemistry, English, writing, and literature
-Graphic design and photography
-Video game design, including game theory, introductory programming, and introductory mobile game design
-Supplemental tutoring and teaching for a student’s preexisting classes
-Teaching by invitation from a group or school
-If a student is using a curriculum for a subject, I will use that with my teaching. If a student needs a recommendation for learning materials, I can provide the learning materials and curriculums. I also provide recommendations of material.
-I use Skype (or another online whiteboard option upon a student’s request). Through webcams and screensharing, it is simple, fluid, and fun.
>FACEBOOK AND CONTACT
-My rates are $20-25/hour, depending on the subjects. I tutor both one-on-one sessions and group sessions, depending on the needs and requests of individual students and families.
